Acid Etching

Our acid etching solutions for concrete are designed to help prepare concrete floors for painting. They remove laitance and other contaminants, ensuring the paint provides full protection to the floor.

Laitance is a layer of fine particles, including cement dust and lime, that appears on the surface of concrete during curing. If not removed, it severely limits the strength and lifespan of coatings as it prevents direct adhesion to the concrete.

Acid etch solutions also clean new concrete and render, as well as prepare smooth floors for painting. This is useful for power floated floors where blasting or mechanical abrasion is not practical.
