Product Description

Carbogrip Exterior Anti Slip Floor Paint is a polyurethane floor coating designed for use on exterior concrete, metal and wood surfaces. It provides a durable satin finish to the floor that is resistant to the effects of weather and sunlight. The paint also protects the floor from long term wear caused by everyday foot traffic.

Our exterior anti slip floor paint provides additional grip on surfaces that may be slippery, such as areas that are exposed to rain and may become wet. It also marks or highlights areas such as steps, ramps, doorway and walkways, with bright safety colours available for important areas, such as those around a hazard or machinery. We also have greys and greens available for a more decorative and understated look.

If the colours on this page don’t fit your requirements or preference, we also provide a custom colour tinting service. For more details and prices on this, please contact us and we can help you find the colour for your floor.

If you have any questions about this paint, or any of our other products, please contact us using our web chat service, or by phone or email. Our team will be happy to help with any queries you may have, with our knowledge as a manufacturer allowing us to provide in depth technical information on our products.

This paint is also available in a smooth finish for areas that are not directly exposed to rainfall. If you have an interior concrete floor to paint, try our interior Carbogrip floor paint.

Carbogrip Exterior Anti Slip Paint Application

Preparation: On previously painted surfaces, ensure it is sound and non-flaking. Abrade the surface preferably by mechanical abrasion to provide a “key” and maximise adhesion of the subsequent coating. For porous unpainted mature concrete, firstly apply a coat of Pliocem Concrete Sealer.

For a more economical approach on porous surfaces, thin the first coat of Floor Paint with 10-15% of White Spirit and one neat coat. For wood, apply a clear universal preservative to untreated timber. For metal, prime with Palatine Anti Corrosive Metal Primer.

Mixing: Stir the paint with a drill stirrer or wooden baton at least 2” wide. Continue to stir during application to avoid avoid settling and maintain consistency of the anti-slip additive.

Application: Apply by brush or short / medium pile roller. Avoid applying the paint to thickly to avoid delaying drying times. The second and subsequent coats can be applied as soon as the first / preceding coat is dry usually after 12-24 hours, and should be applied within 5 days.

If more than 5 days elapse, the first coat should be lightly abraded before the second coat is applied. Avoid power washing the surface for 7 days.

Carbogrip Exterior Anti Slip Paint is touch dry in 3 hours and hard dry in 24 hours.

Expected Coverage: 8 to 10m² per litre

The correct solvent for thinning and cleaning for this product is white spirit. Do not thin.
