Crown Trade Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt is a water based matt paint that provides stain resistance to internal walls. The paint is easily scrubbed clean to remove both new and old stains, with a durability of 10,000 scrubs.
This paint features a much greater durability and 100% more stain resistance when compared with a conventional matt emulsion. Crown Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt is ideal for high traffic areas due to this high durability and ease of cleaning. Importantly, the superior cleaning properties do not compromise the integrity or appearance of the paint. The paint has been independently tested to ensure it provides the advertised results.
We have a wide variety of colours available in this paint, from traditional creams and greys to more adventurous and bold options such as blue, green or pink. In addition to the wide variety of colours shown here, we can also supply this paint in a wide range to RAL classic, BS 4800 and BS 381C colours.

Please note: The colours of this paint are not produced using a Crown tinting system and are not Crown colours. The colours shown are matched to the British Standard 4800 and NCS colour charts. For these reasons, the colours we supply will not match to existing crown colours supplied in this paint.

Preparation:
New Surfaces
All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Powdery surfaces should be primed with one coat of Sandtex Trade Water Based Stabilising Solution. Polished or dense surfaces should be primed with Crown Trade Alkali Resisting Sealer or where a water based alternative is required Crown Trade Grip Extreme. Porous surfaces should be
coated with a ‘mist’ coat of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt diluted with 40% clean water by volume. Where clean water is not available, apply one coat of Crown Trade Covermatt Drywall Primer. Any areas of surface filling after priming should be touched in with the priming or mist coat diluted as for main areas.
Previously Decorated Surfaces
All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied e.g. dirt, grease etc. Remove all loose, failing or suspect paint. Feather edges of sound paint. Organic growth must be removed and the areas treated with Crown Trade Fungicidal Solution. Fill any fixing holes, cracks and shallow surface defects with Sandtex Trade Ready Mixed Filler. Patch prime bare, filled and powdery areas as for new surfaces above. Wash remaining sound paint with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water. Any glossy or eggshell surfaces should be wet abraded to provide a key. Rinse with clean water to remove all residues. Allow to dry. If after cleaning any areas are still contaminated with substances likely to cause staining and / or bleeding, patch prime with one coat of Crown Trade PSB Stain Block Primer.
Application:
Apply two coats as required. Certain colours may require additional coats to give complete obliteration.
Stir well before use. Apply by brush or medium pile roller. For airless spray (dilution may be required. For further information follow the spray manufacturer’s guidelines. Always intermix packs for colour consistency. Please check for colour accuracy prior to application. Crown Paints is not liable for decorating costs caused as a result of an incorrect colour being applied.
A small residue of colour may be wiped away when the painted surface is first cleaned. This is entirely normal and in no way compromises the integrity or finished appearance of the paint film. Marks on the painted surface can be wiped away with a damp cloth. The product will take 1 week to become fully cured and scrubbable.
