Product Description

Palatine Chlorinated Rubber Floor Paint is a rubberised coating designed for use on indoor and outdoor areas such as garage and production area floors. The paint is resistant to water, chemicals, fungal growth and atmospheric pollution, providing a durable finish suitable for industrial and agricultural environments.

The floor paint is easy to clean with a hose or jet wash. This makes it a superb choice for dog kennels, catteries, hutches and stabling, where regular cleaning is essential to maintain a good standard of hygiene. This rubber coating can be applied to a range of surfaces, including concrete and garage floors, steel and road surfaces.

In addition to the colours on this page, we can also match to RAL classic, BS 4800 and BS381C colours. Please contact us by web chat, phone or email if you would like more details on this service.

We can add non-slip texture to this product which makes it even more suited to areas such as dog runs, animal housing and commercial food preparation areas.

Estimated Coverage: 14 to 16 sqm per litre

Apply by brush or solvent resistant roller

Container Size: 5 Litre

Surface Preparation
On previously painted surfaces please carry out a test patch to ensure there are no compatibility issues. Ensure the surface is sound and non-flaking. Abrade the surface preferably by mechanical abrasion to provide a “key” and maximise adhesion of the subsequent coating. For priming see Preceding coat section below.

Mixing
Stir the paint with a drill stirrer or wooden baton at least 2” wide. Continue to stir during application to avoid settlement.

Application
Apply a nice even coat by brush or roller. Avoid applying the paint too thickly to avoid delaying drying times. The second coat can be applied as soon as the first coat is hard dry after 12-24 hours, and should be applied within 7 days. If more than 7 days elapse, the first coat should be lightly abraded before the second coat is applied. Avoid washing the surface for 7 days.

Thinner: Carbosolv Multi Purpose Thinners
Coverage: 14 to 16 sqm per litre

Preceding Coat
For porous surfaces, thin the first coat with 5-10% of Carbosol Multi Purpose Thinners and one-two subsequent neat coats.

Subsequent Coat
Recomended 2-3 coats. Contact our Technical department if further guidance is required.

Application Methods
Brush, Roller, or Airless or Spray

Airless Spray: Output fluid pressure at tip 2000-3000 psi, 7-11 thou tip (0.38-0.53 mm).
Application by brush can achieve up to 75 microns dft.
When applying by roller, use a solvent resistant sleeve.
Avoid excessive film thickness as this will cause through-drying problems.
