Product Description

PROXL 1K Epoxy Primer Spray is an epoxy primer that gives excellent adhesion directly to bare metal surfaces. It also contains rust preventing pigments that provide an excellent level of corrosion resistance.

The primer is suitable for cleaned and abraded bare steel, galvanised steel, aluminium, zinc coated steel, fibreglass and old paint work. It can also be applied wet on wet. The two provided nozzles allow for different spray patterns to best fit the surface.

1K Epoxy Primer is very quick drying (20 minute through cure) and can be used as a welding primer. For an alternative welding primer, see Carbogalv Cold Galvanising Spray.

Suitable Substrates (cleaned & abraded): Bare steel, Galvanised Steel, Aluminium, Zinc coated steel, Fibreglass, Old paint work

Application Guide:

  • Remove all rust from metal surfaces
  • Clean surface with Procleaner, then sand
  • Carry out test spray
  • Areas to be sprayed must be free of grease, dust and dry
  • For professional use only
  • Wear an appropriate respirator

Application Process:

  • Shake aerosol for at least two minutes, after agitator ball is free
  • Apply in cross coats from distance of 250mm from object
  • Allow 10mins for flash off between coats
  • Apply 1-2 coats
  • Infrared for 8-10mins
  • Through cure 20mins at 20ºc
  • Sandable with P400–P500
  • After use, turn aerosol upside down and empty valve
